Wheeler County Busted Mugshots is a private reference site, not a government office. It cannot confirm custody, arrange a release, post bail, or retrieve an official booking record. Direct those requests to the appropriate official office below.
Official Wheeler County Record Contacts
Use the office that holds the type of information you need. The routes below keep a current-custody question separate from a public-records request and a court-case question.
Wheeler County Sheriff’s Office
WCSO is the local law-enforcement office. Sheriff Jeremiah Holmes is listed at 701 Adams Street, P.O. Box 447, Fossil, OR 97830. The office phone and fax are (541) 763-4101, and the published email is sheriff@wheelercountyor.gov. Office hours are Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to noon and 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., with Friday service by appointment. For an after-hours nonemergency, call (541) 384-2080. Call 911 for an emergency.
For a Wheeler incident report, arrest record, or other local public record, use the WCSO public-records request link on the official sheriff page. Requests are handled by the records custodian under ORS chapter 192 and may be limited or redacted. ORS 133.870 separately limits release of booking photos. WCSO does not publish a separate booking-photo desk or Wheeler-only online jail service.
NORCOR Adult Corrections
For a current adult-custody question, start with NORCOR’s Adults in Custody roster or contact Northern Oregon Regional Corrections at 201 Webber Street, The Dalles, OR 97058. The main office is (541) 298-1576, fax is (541) 298-1082, and the published email is inquiries@norcor.co.wasco.or.us. Wheeler County contracts for jail services, so a NORCOR entry confirms current NORCOR custody, not necessarily the county of arrest.
For a NORCOR record request, its public-information page accepts in-person, mail, email, and fax submissions. The posted schedule lists $25 labor for ten or fewer pages, 50 cents per black-and-white page for pages 11 through 50, 25 cents per page after that, and $20 for photos or DVD/video. A written estimate is required when cost may exceed $30. A fee schedule does not make a booking image releasable under ORS 133.870.
Wheeler Circuit Court and OJD
For criminal charges after booking, hearings, and disposition, use the Oregon Judicial Department record path or contact Wheeler Circuit Court. The court is at 701 Adams Street, P.O. Box 308, Fossil, OR 97830; phone (541) 763-2541; fax (541) 763-2543; email wheeler@ojd.state.or.us. Published court hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
The court lists $3 per paper case request plus 25 cents per page, $5 plus the per-page charge for certified copies, and $3 per case request for electronic documents, with applicable mailing or media expense. Those are court-record costs, not Sheriff or NORCOR booking-record fees. A booked charge is an allegation; a court disposition is the appropriate place to learn how a case ended.
